If you want to know about me:
I am CARLA PICCININI, born in Pavia, Italy on March 10th, 1937.
I am a woman who has struggled with the hardships of daily life: I have suffered, but have always been able to overcome any obstacle. How? By writing, by having a conversation with myself and with those who are close to me, through poetry. For thirty-five years I worked as a teacher in a primary school, where I learned to give, to transmit something to others. My pupils taught me how to listen to my heart's voice, to transform even small events into poetry, and to enjoy life's happenings, because they really are poetry.
Now, retired, I try to keep on appreciating reality (with all its wonders), to live joyfully every single minute, and to communicate with other people by sharing it all with them.
This is my poetry, this is the therapy that so far has helped me make every day a new day, and to love life as a gift to give and receive.
So if you believe in friendship, in generosity, and in the values that make you feel happy when you are giving, you are like me. And I would be happy to meet you some day.
If, however, you feel unsatisfied or confused, try to listen to me for a moment. I don't promise great things, I just want to talk with you. For I know how hard it is to suffer, but you can forget all about it if you listen to your own heart's voice for a while.
But... if you are reluctant and don't want to waste your time, keep doing it your own way. Enjoy your happiness while you have it in your grasp; and try not to think of pain. But remember that others suffer when they see your sadness...
